Worship Planning Calendar serves as a planning guide, workbook, appointment calendar, and guide to daily prayer. It can be used effectively in conjunction with Sundays and Seasons, a guide to worship planning for leaders; Sundays and Seasons: Preaching, a tool for lectionary preaching; and Bread for the Day: Daily Bible Readings and Prayers, an annual daily devotional and prayer resource.  

 5⅜" x 8⅜", spiral bound. Each spread presents Monday through Saturday on the left-hand side, and Sunday on the right-hand side, with space for notes about the music, liturgy, intercessions, and sermon. 

The calendar is organized by the church year as presented in Evangelical Lutheran Worship, including Sundays, principal festivals, lesser festivals, commemorations, observances, and occasions. Prayer of the day, gospel acclamation, psalm refrain, preface, and color are from Evangelical Lutheran Worship.  

Readings for Sundays and principal festivals are drawn from the Revised Common Lectionary as presented in Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Daily lectionary readings are drawn from Revised Common Lectionary: Daily Readings, which are also included in Evangelical Lutheran Worship (pp. 1121–1153).
