Anthony Giamanco sets a text by Mennonite poet Adam M. L. Tice in this expressive SATB anthem with lyrical melodies and jazz-inflected harmonies. The text speaks of Christ’s grace-filled blessings to us even when we stray. Particularly appropriate for Reformation and confirmation services but useful throughout the year when “the call of Christ” or the gift of grace, freely given, is highlighted.
