Workshop Descriptions

Creative Proclamation: Enhancing Scripture Readings with Musical Elements

Anne Krentz Organ

“If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” (1 Cor. 13:1) Have you considered how this reading might be made even more powerful by including a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal? This session will delve into several scripture readings, showcasing how the inclusion of percussion instruments, handbells/chimes, and different voices may enhance the presentation of the readings. Participants will be invited to collectively work on a new setting.
