Wentzel's new melody for "When Twilight Comes" is the perfect anthem for Maundy Thursday, evening services, or during communion distribution. The hymn text invites us to imagine Jesus gathering the twelve disciples as a hen gathers her chicks in her nest, and the joy of gathering as one family to "renew tomorrow's song." The assembly is invited to join on the final stanza.
