There Are Children at the Door
A hauntingly profound anthem by David Cherwien that sets a poem by Herb Brokering about Jesus' call to care for refugee and migrant children. Brokering's text was originally written for the children displaced by the Vietnam War, and is sadly still a topic we need to sing about. Cherwien's gently rocking accompaniment and sensitive melody call us to consider if we will answer Jesus' call to go "where the weary are washed ashore in angry tide."
