Five wonderful organ works for Christmastide based on carol melodies from four continents! Tunes include: ANTIOCH, CONDITOR ALME SIDERUM, CONSOLATION, EL DESEMBRE CONGELAT, and HUAN-SHA-XI. Biery's preludes are well written music for organ. In a variety of styles, organists will delight in the shimmery setting of 'Cold December Flies Away', a festive and brilliant toccata on 'Joy to the World', and the rarely set Chinese melody Huan-sha-xi for (Midnight Stars Make Bright the Skies) which is beautifully cast in a dancelike trio.
