Together by Grace: Bible Conversations ROMANS, Facilitator Guide
Written in the first century, Romans describes the good news or gospel that is God’s power of salvation for all humanity, for all creation, for all time. God, in Christ, is reclaiming the world from the power of sin, justifying and saving us from sin and death. Paul’s letter to the Romans declares that, in the end, absolutely nothing can separate us from God’s love!
Together by Grace Bible Conversations is a series of guided studies that invite participants to gather together, dwell on the stories of the Bible, and engage with the text and one another. With guided conversations and open-ended questions, everyone is invited to share thoughts, experiences, and similarities in these round-table discussions that approach biblical stories honestly, wrestle with tough questions, and build community. Each session can be led by anyone, regardless of their level of biblical scholarship, and are flexible in format and length.
The facilitator’s main role in Together by Grace groups is to guide conversation and to encourage everyone to participate in the activities and discussion, including themselves. This guide gives facilitators everything they need to guide the group through the sessions including background information, instructions, and tips for carrying out this role. No biblical scholarship or experience is required to use this guide.
