Composer Commentary
The fact that I have written so many pieces for Advent and Christmas indicates how much I anticipate that special season, especially coming as it does for us in Australia at the end of the academic year. The piece was written for my own cathedral choir and first performed at the commencement of our “Coming of the Light” liturgy on Advent Sunday, in our splendid neo-Gothic cathedral in Brisbane, Australia.
