Augsburg Fortress

The composer calls this the "cathedral" version. Its first performance was in a cathedral with Bishop Desmond Tutu present. Whether you are in a cathedral or a country parish this setting will serve beautifully. The choral parts are moderate and the piano accompaniment is very evocative of the text. Look at the accompaniment to the final refrain "when the stars begin to fall."
