Scored for unison voices with organ with optional parts for trumpet and congregation, Farewell to Alleluia is a ceremony that may be used to dramatize the transition from the festive season of Epiphany into the penitential season of Lent. The ceremony is perhaps most effective when placed at the close of the festival eucharist for Transfiguration Sunday.
