The Opening the Book of Faith Course is the first step for those preparing to launch Book of Faith in their synods and/or in local congregations. This seven-session course introduces practical methods and approaches to studying Scripture, and then reinforces the basics of scriptural interpretation with four integrated studies that build biblical fluency. Important communication tools, study principles, and discussion methods are unpacked for participants in a flexible, conversational format that encourages discussion, conversation, and sharing — setting a healthy foundation for a powerful Book of Faith experience.

• An expanded leader book that equips the course leader to guide the discussion with questions, leader helps, and reproducible handouts that encourage participants to creatively engage Scripture between sessions;
• A copy of the learner resource that outlines the purpose of the initiative and provides practical tools to help prepare leaders and Book of Faith participants;
• The Opening the Book of Faith Course DVD with discussion-starting video clips for the course as well as a promotional clip to introduce the initiative to congregations.
