Icon Software License
Augsburg Fortress (the Publisher), the publishing house of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, as owner and/or administrator of certain rights to the works covered by the terms of this license, grants to the purchaser (the License Owner), the nonexclusive right to reproduce and use the graphic images on this CD-ROM (the Licensed Works) solely in the life and work of the License Owner throughout the term of this license and subject to the conditions described below. The following conditions apply:

USES AUTHORIZED BY THIS LICENSE
Subject to the terms of this license, the Publisher grants the License Owner nonexclusive permission for the following authorized uses of the Licensed Material:

1. Reproduction of the unaltered artwork of the Licensed Material in copies (including overhead transparencies or slides) intended for use by members of the License Owner or by participants at events sponsored by the License Owner, provided that such copies
   
   a. are for one-time or one-season use at worship or in study,
   b. are not sold (see item 2 under "Uses Not Authorized by This License," below),
   c. are not included in collections or any other type of publication (see item 3 below),
   d. are not distributed (see item 4 below)
   
   
2. Reproduction of the unaltered artwork in newsletters, news releases, ads, and other materials intended to communicate about the ministry of the License Owner.
   

USES NOT AUTHORIZED BY THIS LICENSE
This license authorizes only the uses described above. All other uses are retained by the publisher and are subject to separate permission. Examples of such prohibited uses include:

1. Adaptations of illustrations from the Licensed Material
   
2. Any sale or rental of the Licensed Material, or any portion of the Licensed Material, for any form of remuneration or consideration, including sales or rentals made at reimbursement cost only
   
3. Reproduction of the material in songbooks, hymnals, or other publication prepared by the License Owner, regardless of whether such publications is sold
   
4. Distribution of the Licensed Material (regardless of the form) beyond the one-time, local use described in item 1 of the permitted uses (see above) regardless of whether such distribuion involves a sale
   
5. Any other use not specifically authorized by this license

ASSIGNMENT OF THIS LICENSE
The rights granted by this license are granted only to the initial purchaser of this product and are not transferable to any individual, congregation, or other organization without prior permission of the Publisher.

EFFECTIVE DATE AND DURATION OF THIS LICENSE
This license shall become active upon purchase of the publication and remains in effect unless terminated by Augsburg Fortress, which may terminate the license at its sole discretion if the License Owner

a) does not use the specified copyright acknowledgment;
b) assigns the license to any individual, congregation, or organization without permission;
c) does not otherwise comply with the terms of this license.

Any use of the LIcense Material outside the terms of this license shall be subject to obtaining separate permission from the Publisher.

This license may be registered by returning the registration card enclosed with the product to Augsburg Fortress. Registration will result in eligibility for upgrands and other special offers.
