Stories To Tell & Gifts To Share: An ELCA African Descent Stewardship Resource

The Multicultural Ministries unit, in partnership with the Evangelical Outreach and Congregational Mission unit has developed Stories To Tell & Gifts To Share: An ELCA African Descent Stewardship Resource.

During the four-week emphasis, this stewardship resource will help the congregation to discuss both storytelling and giving as grateful responses to the grace that comes from God. The focus includes:

• What if a Child Shares

• Tithing Flows from the Heart

• Blessed to be a Blessing

• Consecration Liturgy: Gathering-A River of Life

• Invitation to Give letter

• Dedication Sunday

The foundational biblical texts for this resource are: "All shall give as they are able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you" (Deuteronomy 16:17) and "All tithes from the land, whether the seed from the ground or the fruit from the tree, are the Lord's; they are holy to the Lord" (Leviticus 27:30).
