Venita MacGorman

Biography

Venita MacGorman is the Associate Director of Music and Coordinator of Children's Music Ministries at McFarlin United Methodist Church in Norman, Oklahoma. Before coming to McFarlin she taught instrumental music in public schools. Her undergraduate degree in music education is from Texas Christian University the masters in music education from University of Oklahoma.

Venita is past president of the Central Oklahoma Chapter of Chroisters Guild and a past chair of Area IX of the AGEHR. She had taught workshops on handbells, children's choir methods and instrumental music at the state, area and national levels for AGEHR, Choristers Guild and Augsburg Fortress. She is the author of several books for handbell choirs.
