Session Descriptions

Ring with Success! – This interactive workshop presents new handbell music from Choristers Guild. Along with a sensational reading packet of new pieces showcasing a variety of levels and techniques, this session will also introduce Venita McGorman's new teaching resource, Basic Training 2: Rhythm Training for Ringers. Discover how this resource can help your ringers develop strong rhythm skills enabling them to play repertoire with confidence and success!

Leading Global Music – Adding flavor to your music – this session will explore how to accompany world music using percussion, organ and piano.

Secrets of the Altar Guild From banners to candlesticks, albs to stoles, visual elements are plentiful throughout our worship settings. Learn about the history and tradition of these artistic elements in the assembly, and how to more effectively enrich the experience of worshipers by their use. Workshop is available at the following locations: WA, MN, SC, and PA.

Sing with Success for Children – This interactive workshop presents a variety of new choral products for children's choirs from the catalogs of Choristers Guild and Augsburg Fortress. In addition to new choral anthems, this session will introduce several new songbook/teaching resources, Can't Wait to Sing! and Children Sing with Instruments, each designed with teaching helps for leading successful choir rehearsals. Using these and other products, discover fresh and engaging ideas for teaching your children to sing throughout the year!

New Resources for Evangelical Lutheran Worship – How does the musician interpret the service? This workshop will be helpful both to those who are using ELW and for those who are considering it in the future.

Choral Sessions I & II – Both sessions will have a variety of voicing and skill levels. Includes "Prophets and Angels" (new Advent Lessons and Carols service), "Augsburg Choirbook for Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany" and "Wade in the Water" (a new collection for small choirs). Also featured will be "Hear Our Prayer" (a collection of choral responses).

What to do with the Psalm – Chant it, Sing it, speak it, skip it? This lively workshop will present several options as well as premier the new resource Treasury of Psalms for Worship
