Martin Luther
Experience a familiar favorite in new ways.

Dear Friend in Ministry,

We have great news to share!

Daniel Erlander has written and illustrated several books that have resonated with Lutherans for decades. Their visual appeal, theological content, and inviting tone welcome each reader into moments of delight, discovery, and the underlying assurance of God’s deep and everlasting love for us. Generations of Lutherans can point to these publications and tell vivid stories about how Daniel Erlander’s voice has helped them better understand what it means to embrace their Christian faith.

At Augsburg Fortress, we’re deeply committed to our new role of stewarding what Daniel Erlander has created. Since 2018, we have been the sole distributor for his publications. Additionally, we’re expanding on these works in innovative ways. So far, we have created curricula based on A Place for You, Come to the Water, Baptized We Live, and Manna and Mercy, as well as creating a set of booklets called A Lutheran Welcome. Sign up for information about future releases of resources that expand on Daniel Erlander’s work!

“Erlander doesn’t really write at all. He explodes in joy... [A] multimedia experience created from one pencil and one gentle mind that obviously has spent time laughing first hand with God.”

- JH, New Mexico

“I’ve been a Lutheran all my life but I now have a new understanding and appreciation for the depth of its significance.”

- JH, New Mexico

“There is such delightful, unexpected humor in your work – God in Luther’s cabbage soup, the prairie dogs that keep popping up, Boo the mouse, finding Sarah, the crabby people, ...”
